Annual Swim-A-Thon

What is a Swim-A-Thon?

The Swim-A-Thon is a fundraiser where swimmers ask for sponsors to donate money to them. Each swimmer will swim continuous laps (as many as they safely can in the allotted time) and then collect the money from their sponsors. The Swim-A-Thon is held during normal swim practice times. Swim-A-Thon donation sheet can be downloaded HERE.

Why is a Swim-A-Thon?

We are trying to raise money to support the TigerShark Swim Team and the expenses associated with running the team, such as stopwatches for timing, pop-up tents, rewards & recognition for our swimmers, swim league fees, etc. All swimmer registration fees go to OV Parks and Rec for the rental of the pool and Coach's salaries.

What is in it for me?

One Word: PRIZES! Every year we ask local businesses for donations and deliver prizes to the kids who swam the most laps or collected the most donations.

What else can I do to help?
